Stage Spiders

Community Youth Projects, Canterbury

Welcome to Stage Spiders!

Stage Spiders is a student led volunteering group based at the University of Kent which runs projects for children and young people across Canterbury. These project include: working in primary schools and nurseries; performing plays for local children; and storytelling at the Waterstones bookshop in Ashford and Beaney Library. We have won "Best Student Led Volunteer Group" in 2010, 2011 and 2012, and "Best Fundraising Event" in 2014.

We believe that encouraging confidence, creativity and positivity in children is immensely important for their development. Our projects aim to expand these social skills in children through the medium of drama, storytelling, arts and crafts, and games.
